Ownership of Slings- All slings, instructions, and accessories remain the property of St Neots & Bedford Sling Library/Cara Holloway Sling Consultant at all times and all loans and reservations are subject to availability and are at our discretion.
Deposit
- You will be required to leave a credit card on file with MyTurn while you have any item out on loan. In the event that you fail to return a hired sling the replacement cost will be charged to this card. Charges for items damaged beyond normal wear and tear will be judged on a case by case basis at St Neots & Bedford Sling Library/Cara Holloway Sling Consultant's discretion.
Safe Use Of Slings
- Your child's safety is your responsibility. St Neots & Bedford Sling Library/Cara Holloway Sling Consultant cannot be held responsible for any injury or dealt whilst the sling is in your care. You should never use a sling to perform an activity that you wouldn't do whilst carrying your child in your arms.
-We suggest you practice using the sling with a doll or pillow so that you can get used to the adjusting methods.
- If you (or your child) feel any pain while carrying, change the carrying position or remove the sling.
- It is the borrower's responsibility to check over the sling and any accessories before each use. Check all buckles, hems, and seams to ensure no tears, breaks, cracks, or holes. If any damage is discovered, stop using the sling and contact us immediately.
Care of Slings
- Under no circumstances is it permitted to smoke whilst wearing or holding the sling.
- Do not wash your hired sling. We clean all slings regularly and know how to deal with the usual marks. If you feel it is necessary to wash the sling, please contact us for washing instructions prior to washing and ensure instructions are followed carefully.
- We cannot guarantee that there are no marks or hairs on the slings we lend, including animal hairs. Please keep slings away from any animals in or around your house to help limit this possibility for other hirers.
- Please inform us if you have a severe allergy prior to hiring and we can clean the sling before you borrow it.
- Food and posset marks are expected when carrying children, but please keep the sling away from anything that may stain permanently (oil, paint, pens, hair or make-up products, etc.) or anything that might damage the sling (scissors, velcro, keys in your bag, fire, etc.).
-The cost of damage beyond normal wear and tear will be charged to your card on file.
Returns/Late Returns
- Returns are to be made to the library drop in sessions (dates can be found on the Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/CaraSlings). If arranged prior to the session it may be possible to drop the sling off in person at my house. It must be dropped off at an agreed upon date and time, prior to the date it is due back.
- For any days over not agreed by St Neots & Bedford Sling Library/Cara Holloway Sling Consultant in advance, you will be charged £1/day in late fees. If we have not heard from you within 14 days from the end of your agreed loan period we will consider the sling lost and charge your card on file for the replacement cost.
